Sam's Day Recognized as SickKids Donor PartnerNovember 6, 2008 - On behalf of "Sam's Day", Sam Lack, brother Ben, mom Andrea and Auntie Jill, attended a donor / fundraiser recognition evening on November 6th at SickKids. A "Sam's Day (Sam Lack, Family & Friends)" plaque was added to the "Partners" section of the Donor Wall on the main level. If you are ever at SickKids look us up on the wall...supporters and friends like you have made this lasting legacy for Sam possible. Thank you for the $135,000 and counting that you have helped us raise over the past 4 years since Sam's journey began...every cent brings us closer to the promise of hope for kids like Sam that fight cancer.
Burlington Kids Deliver $44,000 to SickKids for Pediatric Cancer ResearchWednesday August 6, 2008 – Yesterday, five year old cancer survivor Sam Lack who is the namesake of Burlington’s annual Sam’s Day family fun day event was joined by his brother and other young friends as he delivered the proceeds from this year’s event to the Hospital for Sick Children.

Sam’s Day proceeds went to MacKids) has been recognized as the best
neuroblastoma research in the world at a global conference in Sam’s Day fundraising has made some of the most significant
impact on advances in neuroblastoma treatment. This is a profound accomplishment
we should all be very proud of. Without our funds this research would not have
been possible. Dr. David Kaplan, head of cancer research at SickKids received a cash prize for this “best research”; he has decided to donate the prize to Sam’s Day. Read the Letter
